Kunal Dalsania
Hello everyone!
My name is Kunal Dalsania and I hope to continue being your MD 2028 English stream class president.
Over the past year serving as your class president, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know so many of you, hearing about your different experiences, and advocating for what matters most to our class. This year, I focused on improving communication, accessibility, and student life.
One of the biggest projects I worked on was creating a centralized class website for schedules, resources, announcements, links, and important updates so information is always easy to find. Over the summer, I plan to continue expanding it with clerkship-specific resources, including rotation-based tools, calculators, and advice gathered directly from upper years to help reduce stress as we transition into clerkship.
I also worked to improve transparency between students and Faculty. By meeting regularly with the Pre-Clerkship Director, gathering student concerns beforehand, and relaying updates back to the class, I aimed to ensure students stayed informed and felt heard, especially during periods of uncertainty surrounding scheduling changes and deadlines.
For next year, I hope to build on what has worked well while improving on the areas where I could have done better. As we transition into clerkship, I want to continue advocating for our class through the challenges that come with a much more dynamic learning environment. Whether that involves rotation scheduling concerns, elective planning, clerkship objectives, accommodations, or unexpected changes that affect students.
Most importantly, I want to continue being approachable, transparent, and responsive. I believe good student leadership starts with listening, keeping communication open, and making sure students know someone is willing to advocate for them when needed.
Thank you for trusting me over the past year. It has truly been a privilege to serve this class, and I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue representing MD2028 through clerkship.
