VP Social Affairs
Alexis St Pierre
Hey Everyone! My name is Lex and I’m super excited to run for VP Social Affairs for the 2026/27 school year. Over the last year, I’ve had the privilege to work as the VP Social Assistant, which has given me firsthand experience helping plan events and seeing what goes on behind the scenes. Medical school can be stressful, so I’d love to continue helping balance that and building up our class community by planning some incredible events outside of the classroom. If elected, I have a simple goal: to create affordable, inclusive, and genuinely memorable events built around what YOU actually want. Starting with O-Week! We have the longest O-Week in the country (hell yeah), and I want to keep the events everyone loves while adding some fresh ideas. To make that happen, I’ll send out a few short feedback surveys so we can build an awesome two weeks together that set the tone for the year ahead. Beyond O-Week, I bring experience planning large formal events and am ready to bring that organization and attention to detail to MedBall. From venue coordination to budgeting, I care about getting it right. I’ll also bring this same energy to planning our Tremblant trip, ensuring that you get to the hill and to Le P’tit Caribou in seamless fashion. I’m also excited to introduce some new ideas, like Sens Nights, with a round-trip bus from RGN to the CTC for the hockey game. After connecting with a Sens rep and reviewing pricing/ logistics, this is something I’m serious about making happen. I’d also love to work closely with VP Athletics to elevate our class traditions (like the 1st vs 2nd year soccer game and the Med vs Law hockey game) and potentially introduce new tournaments in other sports. Another goal of mine is to better capture our memories from pre-clerkship. I’d love to organize volunteer photographers at events and create a class yearbook so we can look back on these years together. Lastly, I know cost matters (shoutout to my LOC), so I’ll prioritize sponsorships and smart budgeting to keep events accessible while still delivering awesome experiences. Now, Nina has big shoes to fill after her generational run this year, but I’m ready to rise to the challenge and be the ultimate hype man for our class and the incoming one. Let’s make this year the best one yet! Thanks for reading and for considering me as your next VP Social!!
